Shanghai (Gasgoo)- In late October this year, Xiaomi EV officially launched the production version of the SU7 Ultra model, with the pre-sale price set at 814,900 yuan. The model is expected to hit the market in March next year.

Recently, China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released a catalogue of some new NEV (new energy vehicle) models eligible for purchase tax reductions, revealing the SU7 Ultra's battery range options. According to the MIIT's catalogue, Xiaomi SU7 Ultra has range of up to 630 km on 93.7-kWh battery pack. In addtion, it also offers other three range options: 520 km, 555 km, and 600 km. The model's curb weight is 2,360 kg.

As the flagship model of the SU7 series, the SU7 Ultra is characterized by an aggressive design, incorporating a significant amount of carbon fiber in both the exterior and interior. The vehicle is powered by a robust powertrain consisting of two HyperEngine V8s  and one HyperEngine V6s, delivering a maximum output of 1,548 horsepower. This enables the 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 1.98 seconds and a top speed of 350 km/h, all without any modifications, making it track-ready straight from the factory.

Regarding the exterior, the SU7 Ultra adopts a sleek front splitter and diamond-patterned air intakes, with the logo and headlights finished in black for a more stylish look. Besides, the model comes equipped with a carbon fiber roof, side skirt accents, and exterior mirror housings, along with silver trim bearing the "Ultra" insignia. Its roof houses LiDAR device, while the side cameras on the front fenders sport a unique "U" badge.

As for tires, the SU7 Ultra comes with 21-inch black wheels, paired with Pirelli P ZERO tires. The front and rear tires are sized at 265/35 R21 and 305/30 R21, respectively. The model also comprises carbon-ceramic brake discs and Akebono yellow brake calipers with six-piston front and four-piston rear setups.

At the rear, the SU7 Ultra's production version is equipped with a fixed carbon fiber rear spoiler, alongside blacked-out badging and a redesigned rear bumper with an integrated diffuser.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
