Beijing (Gasgoo)- On December 4, Chinese new energy vehicle maker Leapmotor announced that cumulative sales of its micro electric vehicle model, the T03, have surpassed 200,000 units.

The 2024 Leapmotor T03, which went on sale on March 2 this year, is priced between 49,900 yuan and 69,900 yuan, featuring a compact body measuring 3,620mm in length, 1,652mm in width, and 1,592mm in height, with a 2,400mm wheelbase. Powered by lithium iron phosphate batteries, it offers three variants with respective ranges of 200km, 310km, and 403km under CLTC conditions.

Notably, the T03 is part of Leapmotor's European lineup, positioned as an A00-segment city car with a WLTP range of 265km and interiors akin to A0-segment vehicles. It is priced at €18,900 (subject to market adjustments) in Europe, where it has already entered the market.

Meanwhile, Leapmotor also reported that cumulative sales of its midsize SUV, the C11, exceeded 200,000 units as well on December 3. The C11 recorded over 12,000 units of confirmed orders in November alone.

Introduced in September 2021 with a post-subsidy starting price below 150,000 yuan, the C11 lineup expanded in March 2023 with the launch of the range-extended versions priced at 149,800 yuan to 185,800 yuan. Its latest iteration, the all-new C11, hit the market earlier this year, offering both pure electric (151,800 yuan-205,800 yuan) and range-extended (148,800 yuan-185,800 yuan) versions.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
