Porsche recently announced the appointment of Mr. Li Nan as Vice President of the Technology Division at Porsche China, underscoring its In China, For China development philosophy.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Porsche recently announced the appointment of Mr. Li Nan as Vice President of the Technology Division at Porsche China, underscoring its "In China, For China" development philosophy. As a native of China, Mr. Li will spearhead the integration of innovative and competitive technologies into Porsche vehicles.

In addition, Porsche revealed the establishment of a dedicated technology division within Porsche China to oversee the company's local R&D efforts, reporting directly to Porsche China CEO. This strategic move aims to align Porsche's products and services more closely with the needs of Chinese customers.

Sajjad Khan, a member of Porsche's global Executive Board and head of the Car-IT unit, remarked, "Li Nan brings extensive market experience and technical expertise to strategically expand vehicle R&D in China. His profound knowledge in electrics/electronics and software development will be pivotal in understanding the diverse needs and expectations of Chinese customers."

Michael Kirsch, President and CEO of Porsche China, added, "Li Nan's appointment reaffirms our long-term commitment to the Chinese market. As a local expert deeply rooted in China, his insights and expertise will accelerate Porsche's advancements in vehicle connectivity and intelligent driving technologies."

Prior to joining Porsche, Li Nan held senior roles at Mercedes-Benz, amassing substantial expertise in infotainment, big data, and artificial intelligence. Over the past six months, Li Nan has been working at Porsche's R&D headquarters in Weissach, Germany, reporting directly to Sajjad Khan. During this time, he collaborated with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between the Shanghai R&D operations and Weissach, fostering synergy and knowledge transfer.
