Tesla's Gigafactory Shanghai delivers 78,856 vehicles in Nov. 2024

Beijing (Gasgoo)- US electric maker Tesla's Gigafactory Shanghai delivered 78,856 vehicles via wholesale in November 2024, according to preliminary data from the China Passenger Car Association. This marked a 15% month-over-month increase.  

On November 24, Tesla China announced a new promotion for its Model Y locally manufactured by its Shanghai factory. Customers who place an order and take delivery by December 31 will receive a 10,000-yuan discount. For instance, the Model Y RWD version is now priced at 239,900 yuan after the discount.  

The program also features a 5-year, 0% interest financing option, with monthly payments starting from as low as 2,667 yuan for the Model Y in China.  

Tesla highlighted that with this promotion, coupled with the 0% financing promotion and the Chinese government's trade-in subsidies for new energy vehicles, consumers could save at least 50,000 yuan on their purchase.
