BYD SEALION 7 makes debut at 41st Thailand International Motor Expo

On November 28, 2024, BYD, together with its premium sub-brand DENZA, showcased their latest offerings at the 41st Thailand International Motor Expo.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On November 28, 2024, BYD, together with its premium sub-brand DENZA, showcased their latest offerings at the 41st Thailand International Motor Expo. 

At the expo, the automaker debuted the SEALION 7 all-electric SUV, and showcased several key new energy vehicle models, including the BYD-branded YUAN PLUS, Dolphin, Seal, M6, SHARK 6, as well as DENZA's N7, Z9GT, and D9.

The BYD SEALION 7 model is an all-electric SUV built upon BYD's e-Platform 3.0. BYD expects SEALION 7 to provide Thai and global consumers with a groundbreaking electric mobility experience, helping accelerate transition to green transportation. The model adopts BYD's "Ocean aesthetics" design concept, ensuring a spacious interior suitable for local families. It boasts a rear-mounted electric motor spinning at 23,000 rpm. The all-wheel-drive version can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 215 km/h.

Ke Yubin, the General Manager of BYD Thailand, spoke at the closing ceremony, stating, "we are honored to showcase BYD and DENZA's latest achievements at this year's expo. Thailand is a pivotal market in BYD's global strategy, with immense potential in the new energy vehicle sector. BYD focuses on providing Thai consumers with more environmentally friendly and efficient green transportation options, and is committed to collaborating with local partners to drive regional industry development. Through deep cooperation in local production and sales, BYD is helping to develop Thailand's new energy vehicle industry while creating numerous local job opportunities, and accelerating the integration of the younger generation into the new energy vehicle sector."

Among the products DENZA showcased at the auto show, the DENZA D9, with its luxurious design and cutting-edge technology, has set a new benchmark in the luxury MPV segment. The D9 features a spacious 2+2+3 seating layout, premium leather interiors, independent heated and ventilated seats, and a range of other comfort features, offering a special experience for both family and business users.

BYD and DENZA's joint presence at the expo displayed their diverse product range, catering to both the mass market and high-end segments. Through their dual-brand strategy, BYD aims to meet the diverse needs of Thai consumers and further solidify its leading position in the Southeast Asian market.
