Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On December 1, DEEPAL, a new energy vehicle brand under Changan Automobile, announced that it delivered 36,026 vehicles last month, which marks a 29.3% month-on-month (MoM) increase and a 123% year-over-year (YoY) surge. This brings its total sales for the Jan.-Nov. period to 207,307 units.

At the end of October, DEEPAL's CEO Deng Chenghao shared on his social media that DEEPAL had been fully prepared to achieve a monthly delivery volume of 30,000 vehicles in November.

DEEPAL now has five models on sales, including the SL03, the S07, the G318, the L07, and the S05.

Among them, the S07 achieved deliveries of 16,766 units in November. Hitting the market on July 25, it is available to 10 trim levels, with a price range from 149,900 yuan to 212,900 yuan.

The model is positioned as a mid-sized new energy SUV, with range extended electric vehicle (REEV) and battery electric vehicle (BEV) versions offered. The REEVs feature a battery-powered range of 285 km (CLTC) and a combined range of up to 1,200 km. It is also equipped with Huawei's Qiankun ADS SE intelligent driving assistance system, which supports highway autopilot assistance and intelligent parking.

The S05 model went on sale on October 20, with a starting price of 119,900 yuan, and deliveries began immediately upon its market launch. The model saw its cumulative order volume surpass 10,000 units within just 10 days. After being on the market for 40 days, its total deliveries exceeded 10,000 units.

The S05 adopts a brand-new design language named "Interstellar Wings", which is characterized by a closed-off front grille and sculpted dual waistlines. This model comes equipped with hidden door handles, aerodynamic wheels, and a full-width rear light strip.

In terms of powertrain, the REEV version achieves a fuel consumption of 4.35L/100km when the battery is nearly depleted, offering a combined range of 1,234km (CLTC) and a range of 200km (CLTC) on battery power alone. The BEV version is powered by the "Golden Shield Battery" equipped with CATL's cells, enabling a 510km CLTC range, 3C fast charging capabilities, and 6 kW V2L (vehicle-to-load) feature. Both versions offer peak torque of 320 Nm.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
