The Caixin China Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) recorded 51.5 in November, 1.2 percentage points higher than October, marking the second consecutive month in the expansion territory. According to the sub-index data of the Caixin China Manufacturing PMI, both supply and demand in the manufacturing sector accelerated their expansion. In November, the manufacturing production index and new orders index rose to their highest levels since July 2024 and March 2023, respectively, within the expansion territory. Surveyed enterprises reported that the improvement in demand fundamentals and the release of new products supported the growth of new orders. Previously contracted external demand also began to recover, with the new export orders index rebounding above the critical point in November, reaching a seven-month high. Enterprises indicated that the growth in export orders for the month was mainly concentrated in investment and intermediate product categories, while the volume of export orders for consumer goods slightly declined.
