Beijing (Gasgoo)- In November 2024, Chinese new energy vehicle company Leapmotor saw its monthly deliveries surpass 40,000 units for the first time, reaching 40,169 vehicles, according to its announcement on the first day of December.

From January to November, the company delivered a total of 251,207 vehicles, meaning that it has met its annual sales target ahead of schedule. In 2025, the company aims to deliver 500,000 vehicles annually.

In November, Leapmotor released its financial report for the third quarter of 2024, recording revenue of 9.86 billion yuan, representing an 83.9% surge from the previous quarter and a 74.3% spike year-on-year. In the same quarter, its gross profit margin improved to 8.1%, with both quarterly sales and revenue hitting record highs. The company also reported ample cash reserves and accelerated its global expansion while enhancing its marketing network.

In addition, a joint panel of designers from Maserati, Alfa Romeo, and Jeep conducted a detailed evaluation of Leapmotor's first B platform-based model, the B10, in November. The panel praised the B10's product positioning, design language, and incorporation of brand elements, highlighting its aesthetic appeal and global design acumen.

The Leapmotor B10 made its domestic debut at the Auto Guangzhou 2024 last month. The vehicle showcased new colors such as Stellar Blue and Dawn Purple, alongside a special edition inspired by Van Gogh's Starry Night Over the Rhône. The B10 is set to officially hit the market in the first quarter of 2025.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
