BYD's monthly vehicle sales reach another record high in Nov. 2024

BYD Company Limited (BYD) reported sales of 506,804 new vehicles for the month of November 2024, marking a remarkable year-on-year surge of 67.87% and a month-on-month rise of 0.83%.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- BYD Company Limited ("BYD") reported sales of 506,804 new vehicles for the month of November 2024, marking a remarkable year-on-year surge of 67.87% and a month-on-month rise of 0.83%. Notably, the figure represents another record-breaking performance in BYD's monthly vehicle sales.

Of the new vehicles sold last month, passenger vehicle sales reached 504,003 units, a staggering 67.23% hike compared to the same month last year and a slight month-on-month growth of 0.69%. Breaking down the sales by powertrain solutions, battery electric vehicle sales totaled 198,065 units, reflecting year-on-year and month-on-month increases of 16.41% and 4.46%, respectively. Meanwhile, plug-in hybrid electric vehicle sales soared to 305,938 units, showing a dramatic increase of 133.13% year-on-year, but posting a 1.6% month-on-month decline, contributing 60.7% to BYD's overall passenger car sales.

Additionally, BYD announced that its overseas sales of new energy passenger vehicles for November reached 30,977 units, with 28,141 of those being exports.

The company also sold 2,801 commercial vehicles last month, which skyrocketed 433.52% over a year earlier.

As of November, BYD's year-to-date sales for 2024 have reached 3,757,336 vehicles, representing a 40.02% spike year-on-year. At this pace, the company is on track to meet its ambitious target of 4 million units for the year with little doubt.

Breaking the monthly sales down by brand and product series, the Dynasty and Ocean series together sold 485,178 vehicles in November. The DENZA brand recorded sales of 10,002 units, while the YANGWANG and FANFGCHENGBAO brands recorded sales of 302 units and 8,521 units, respectively.
