Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On November 27, Geely Auto officially put the Binyue L model, a refreshed version of the Binyue COOL, onto market. The compact SUV comes with two variants priced between 89,800 yuan and 96,800 yuan, with a limited-time promotional price ranging from 79,800 yuan to 86,800 yuan until December 31. The new model features notable upgrades in its exterior, interior, and smart systems.
In terms of exterior design, the Binyue L features a redesigned front grille, with the upper and middle grille outlines remaining similar to the previous model, but the lower section has been optimized to create a wider visual effect. The model retains Binyue COOL's headlight design, with a sleek, elongated shape and a daytime running light strip positioned at the top.
The model features a two-tone body design with a dynamic waistline running along the sides. It continues to adopt black alloy wheels paired with red brake calipers.
The vehicle measures 4,380 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, and 1,609 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,600 mm.
At the rear, the dual-exhaust styling is preserved, but the bumper design has been refined for a more subdued look. With the "Geely" lettering moved lower on the tailgate, the model still comes with a full-width taillight cluster.
Inside, the Binyue L adopts a more understated design, forgoing colorful accents. The model comes with a digital instrument cluster featuring a sunshade and a larger square display, along with a 14.6-inch central touchscreen. The vehicle is now equipped with the Flyme Auto system, supporting HUAWEI HiCar, Carlink, and Flyme Link for in-car connectivity. Traditional buttons for air conditioning are retained below the screen for ease of use.
The seats have also been upgraded, with both front seats offering electric adjustment and heating functions.Additionally, the model is equipped with an electric tailgate.
Under the hood, the model is powered by a 1.5T engine, which can deliver a maximum output of 181 Ps (133 kW) and peak torque of 290 Nm, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The vehicle features front-wheel drive layout, with a MacPherson strut independent suspension at the front and a torsion beam suspension at the rear. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.6 seconds and boasts a fuel efficiency of 6.35 liters per 100 kilometers under the WLTC conditions, according to official data.
