Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Bosch is participating in the CISCE 2024 (China International Supply Chain Promotion Expo 2024), which is scheduled from November 26 to 30, for the second consecutive year. At the exhibition area, Bosch created a joint booth with XPENG, Rio Tinto, and China Baowu Group, demonstrating products from raw materials and components to vehicle manufacturing across the supply chain of automotive industry.

At the booth, Bosch highlighted its smart integrated braking system and next generation of occupant protection systems developed for theXPENG P7+ model. The braking system uses electronic control and hydraulic technology to provide brake assistance, eliminating the need for engine vacuum. The system integrates brake boosting and ESP®, which not only enhances dynamic vehicle performance via simplifying the system structure, but also supports efficient energy recovery in hybrid and electric vehicles, resulting in improved driving range and reduction of CO2 emissions.

The advanced safety system, co-developed with XPENG, includes components such as the airbag control unit, external acceleration sensors, front collision sensors, and peripheral pressure sensors, enabling precise monitoring of the vehicle's surroundings and collision conditions.

The airbag control unit enhances the vehicle's responsiveness and precision, and, through next-generation software functions, maximizes the use of existing hardware to improve safety performance and intelligent driving capabilities in complex road conditions.

Bosch also displayed its core technologies within the smart vehicle supply chain, including fuel cells, electrification, aftermarket services, and innovative solutions in motion control and driving safety. Notable products included the smart decoupled braking system with ESP®10, the second-generation silicon carbide (SiC) electric bridge, and fully redundant electric power steering systems. The smart decoupled braking system is compact, lightweight, and offers high installation flexibility, enabling a quieter, smoother driving and a more comfortable ride. When paired with ESP®10, it enables energy recovery at deceleration of up to 0.3g, further improving driving range and reducing CO2 emissions. Additionally, the decoupled braking redundancy system, equipped with ESP®10, is designed to meet the higher demands of future autonomous driving. The second-generation SiC electric bridge integrates the motor, power electronics controller, and reducer into a single design, providing stronger driving power, improved energy efficiency, and a quieter driving experience. Additionally, the fully redundant electric power steering system, compatible with L2 to L4 autonomous driving, was developed by local teams to address domestic and global market needs.

In addition, Bosch has established dual centers for fuel cell components and assemblies in Wuxi and Chongqing cities. The company has put its key products, including fuel cell systems and hydrogen storage systems, onto Chinese market. Bosch offers a fuel cell product portfolio and flexible solutions that are well-suited for logistics sectors such as urban delivery, intercity transport, cold chain logistics, municipal sanitation, and bonded areas in ports.

Bosch has recently deepened its strategic cooperation with Tencent to explore the application of intelligent connectivity technologies in the automotive sector. This collaboration covers areas such as vehicle operating systems, cloud platform services, and data security solutions, further accelerating the smart transformation of China's automotive industry.  Additionally, Bosch is boosting the localization of critical components such as steering system-used chips and thermal management systems, while enhancing local aftersales services through exchangeable parts projects.
