Recently, the Yunnan branch of the Sixth Metallurgical Construction Company achieved a significant milestone in the Yunnan Copper Zinc Industry Relocation Project—the successful capping of the thickening tank V2 in the zinc purification workshop.

The Yunnan Copper Zinc Industry Relocation Project is a key initiative in response to the national "carbon peak, carbon neutrality" policy. It aims to optimize the existing smelting layout and promote industrial transformation and upgrading. Located in the Anning Industrial Park in Kunming, Yunnan Province, the project, upon completion, will have an annual capacity of 150,000 mt of zinc ingot and a by-product capacity of 240,000 mt of industrial sulphuric acid. Additionally, it will comprehensively recover valuable metals such as lead, copper, silver, indium, and cobalt.
