LUXEED R7 secures over 42,000 units of fixed orders within 2 months on market

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On November 26, HIMA, Huawei's smart car alliance, announced that it has secured over 42,000 units of fixed orders for its mid-to-large all-electric SUV, the LUXEED R7, only two months after the model's market launch.

Previously, on November 14, Mr. Yu Chengdong, Huawei's Executive Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Consumer BG, revealed that the LUXEED R7's cumulative deliveries and fixed order volume surpassed 10,000 units and 38,000 units, respectively, after 30 days since it went on sale. 

Hitting the market on September 24, the LUXEED R7 is available in four variants,  which is priced between 259,800 yuan and 339,800 yuan. Official data from HIMA shows that the R7 achieved over 6,000 units of pre-orders within 24 hours of its market launch and surpassed 20,000 units of pre-orders within 14 days.

In terms of design, the LUXEED R7 features distinctive teardrop-style headlights with three internal lenses, complemented by air ducts beneath for enhanced sportiness. The model also adopts a closed-off front grille design, leaving only a lower cooling vents open, while a 192-line LiDAR sits atop the vehicle. As for size, it measures 4,956 mm in length, 1,981 mm in width, and 1,634 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,950 mm.

Inside, the model boasts a signature yacht-inspired wraparound cockpit with a 12.3-inch floating screen and a flat dashboard, offering an open and clear view. At the rear seat, passengers can benefit from approximately 1 meter of headroom and legroom, enjoying a spacious seating experience. The model also introduces Knock-Knock electric suction front trunk with a 52L capacity, enables effortless access with a simple double-tap.

Regarding the electrification front, the LUXEED R7, built on the Tuling (named in Chinese pinyin) chassis system, is powered by Huawei's electric motor system, and comes standard with CDC (Continuous Damping Control) system and air suspension across entire lineup.

As for intelligent driving, the LUXEED R7 is equipped with the latest HUAWEI ADS 3.0, a advanced intelligent driving system with an end-to-end architecture, capable of navigating roundabouts nationwide. Its parking system identifies obstacles in occupied spaces, allowing the vehicle autonomously parks itself after users remove them. The system also eliminates Bluetooth range limitations, enabling users to leave the car at their destination as it parks autonomously.

In terms of power performance, all variants of the LUXEED R7 feature Huawei's "Giant Whale" 800V high-voltage battery platform, supporting 800V fast charging, with a maximum driving range of up to 802 km.
