Lynk & Co will put its first all-electric SUV, the Lynk & Co Z20, onto the Chinese market on December 22.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Lynk & Co will put its first all-electric SUV, the Lynk & Co Z20, onto the Chinese market on December 22, according to a local media outlet. A more affordable entry-level version with a shorter range is expected to be launched as well, further lowering the price threshold.

Notably, the model hit the European market in October this year with a starting price of €35,495 (approximately 270,000 yuan).

In terms of design, the Lynk & Co Z20, built on the second-generation "The Next Day" style, adds a focus on "air efficiency". The model features a classic fastback coupe design, achieving a drag coefficient of just 0.25Cd. At the rear, the model is equipped with a flowing tail spoiler, which also functions as taillights. The 1,463mm-wide light strip houses 504 LED bulbs, capable of displaying three types of lighting patterns and six different lighting effects.

Inside, the Lynk & Co Z20 comes standard with a 15.4-inch central touchscreen and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. The cabin features the LYNK Flyme Auto intelligent cockpit system, ambient lighting, skin-friendly leather seats, front seats with ventilation, heating, and massage functions, 60W wireless and 50W wired fast charging, as well as dual-zone automatic climate control.

The model also adopts 22 smart driving assistance sensors as standard facility, which support functions of highway ICC (Intelligent Cruise Control), APA (Automated Parking Assist) , RPA (Remote Parking Assist), BSD (Blind-spot Detection), and DOW (Door Open Warning).

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
