Beijing (Gasgoo)- On November 26, Huawei hosted its Mate brand product launch, where the company officially unveiled the MAEXTRO S800, an ultra-high-end electric sedan developed by the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance in collaboration with JAC Group.

The MAEXTRO S800 is now open for reservations with a deposit of 20,000 yuan and an estimated price range of 1 to 1.5 million yuan.

The MAEXTRO S800 marks a significant move by a Chinese new energy vehicle brand into the ultra-luxury million-yuan market, representing a milestone for domestic manufacturers in the premium new energy vehicle segment. Its advanced smart technology suite is central to its competitive edge.

Built on Huawei's second-generation Tuling Platform, known as the "Tuling Longxing Platform," the MAEXTRO S800 integrates intelligent driving, cockpit, and domain control systems into a pioneering chassis architecture refined over five years. It is designed for L3 intelligent driving capabilities and features Huawei's ADS advanced smart driving system. This system incorporates Huawei's self-developed 192-line LiDAR for enhanced range, precision, and responsiveness, complemented by deep-learning algorithms for dynamic environmental perception and adaptive driving decisions.

In design, the MAEXTRO S800 introduces intelligent elegance aesthetics. Its standout features include "starlight matrix" headlights, inspired by celestial constellations with intricate crystal and vertical design elements. The car boasts a body proportioned with golden ratios, starlight-themed door handles, and "nebula" tail lights that evoke cosmic imagery.

The MAEXTRO S800 embodies Huawei's cutting-edge expertise in smart mobility, signaling a transformative step in the Chinese luxury new energy vehicle market.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
