Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese autonomous driving tech company QCraft recently saw its latest driverless shuttle (Robobus), the Longzhou SPACE, commence pilot operations in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province. To date, QCraft's Robobus in the city have provided ride experiences to nearly 5,000 passengers.

The Jinhua project marks the debut of the new Longzhou SPACE model, jointly developed by QCraft and Xiamen Golden Dragon Bus. Equipped with two main LiDAR units, one millimeter-wave radar, three blind-spot radars, and multiple cameras, the vehicle leverages QCraft's advanced full-stack L4 autonomous driving technology. This enables 360-degree perception, precise decision-making, and advanced features such as pedestrian and vehicle avoidance, automatic lane changes, and traffic light recognition. The shuttle handles complex urban scenarios like sudden pedestrian crossings or roadside construction vehicles by proactively slowing down or maneuvering around obstacles.

The Longzhou SPACE model features an innovative design with a domain controller and a water-cooling system, optimizing interior space while significantly enhancing overall system performance. Additionally, its integration with 5G-A network technology enables real-time sensing of traffic signal phases and timing on continuous straight road segments. By calculating optimal speeds based on signal data, the shuttle minimizes sudden stops and wait times, improving safety and operational efficiency.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
