Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese autonomous driving technology company Shine Auto recently announced the completion of its Pre-A funding round with over 100 million yuan raised.

The funds will support the advancement of Shine Auto's high-level intelligent driving platform, the development of scenario-specific intelligent driving products, and the expansion of its industry ecosystem partnerships.

Founded in December 2021, Shine Auto originates from 15 years of technological achievements at the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Hefei Institute. The company focuses on three core business segments, including intelligent driving systems, smart equipment, and integrated vehicle-road-cloud solutions.

Previously, Shine Auto unveiled its third-generation driverless sightseeing bus, the "Xingchi Bujing" (name in Chinese pinyin). Developed in collaboration with Ankai Bus, a subsidiary of JAC Group, the L4 autonomous bus is designed for urban open-road operations.

It features Shine Auto's proprietary L4 autonomous driving system, equipped with a 500+ TOPS automotive-grade computing platform and an array of LiDAR, millimeter-wave radar, ultrasonic radar, and visual sensors for 360-degree environmental awareness. Additionally, the vehicle employs an advanced AUGRU predictive model for multi-object behavior forecasting.

Shine Auto's intelligent driving components are already in mass production and supplied to automakers. Its intelligent equipment, including buses and mining dump trucks, realized real-world standardized operations. Furthermore, its integrated vehicle-road-cloud solutions have been deployed in city parks, ports, and other settings.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
