Beijing (Gasgoo)- On November 16, 305 Dongfeng Motor vehicles arrived at Peru's Port of Chancay, the first shipment of an 800-unit order from a local partner. These vehicles will soon be distributed across Peru to meet the country's growing demands for quality mobility and logistics solutions.

This shipment represents a significant milestone for Dongfeng Motor's international expansion, highlighting the competitiveness and influence of Chinese products in global markets. It also strengthens the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative in South America. Local partners have expressed high expectations for Dongfeng Motor's performance in Peru, viewing this delivery as a key step toward boosting market share and deepening bilateral economic ties.

Dongfeng Motor's overseas marketing team has established Peru as a strategic hub to serve surrounding South American markets. In September, the Chinese automaker set up an office in Lima to enhance its local presence, enabling faster market responses and superior service to foster mutual success among clients and partners.

Previously, Peru had imported a range of commercial vehicles from Dongfeng Motor, including the high-end GX tractors, KC dump trucks, and KR cargo trucks, effectively covering the country's mainstream commercial vehicle market needs.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
