APALT recently announced that it has signed an "Investment Promotion Agreement" with the Management Committee of Shenyang Huishan Economic and Technological Development Zone (hereinafter referred to as "Shenbei New District"). According to the agreement, the company will invest in the construction of the north-east China headquarters production site for lightweight automotive aluminum semis (Phase I) in Shenbei New District, with a total investment estimated at 600 million yuan. The entire project construction cycle is 5 years, with the first 2 years for engineering construction and the subsequent 3 years for capacity ramp-up, expected to reach normal production operation in the 5th year. Upon reaching capacity, the annual output value is expected to reach 1.2 billion yuan. APALT's current annual capacity for aluminum extrusions is approximately 300,000 mt, and this project is expected to add approximately 50,000 mt of aluminum extrusion capacity upon full production.
