Guangzhou (Gasgoo)- On November 15, GAC AION's premium brand, HYPTEC, made a splash at the Auto Guangzhou 2024 with the global unveiling of its luxury smart flagship SUV—the HYPTEC HL. The automaker announced that pre-sales for the HYPER HL will begin in February next year.
The HYPTEC HL boasts an opulent "land yacht" design philosophy, underscored by its impressive dimensions: a length of 5,126 mm and a wheelbase of 3,088 mm, evoking the grandeur of a luxury yacht. Its front fascia features a striking illuminated grille with a dot-matrix pattern capable of displaying customizable letter designs, complemented by distinctive triple vertical LED lights at both the front and rear, exuding a sense of refined elegance.
From the side, the HYPTEC HL's sleek, powerful lines sculpt a dynamic and muscular profile. The hidden door handles can be popped out when needed, while the hidden B-pillar design and side rear-facing camera on the front fender enhance its modern aesthetics. The roof is equipped with a functional luggage rack, and the D-pillar is adorned with a silver panel, featuring the "Hyptec" brand logo, adding a touch of sophistication.
Inside, the HYPTEC HL continues its luxury narrative with an interior designed as a "luxury lounge." The cabin features dual zero-gravity Gulfstream seats, upholstered in ultra-soft NAPPA leather, providing 18-point massage functions from the back to the legs, delivering a massage experience akin to professional shiatsu. Advanced RNC (Road Noise Cancellation) technology further enhances cabin comfort, reducing interior noise by over 2.7 dB for a serene ride.
In terms of powertrain, the HYPTEC HL offers both battery electric and range-extended electric vehicle (BEV and REEV) versions. The BEV variant is equipped with the amorphous electric drive motor spinning at 30,000 RPM, delivering a driving range of up to 750 km. It supports fast charging, allowing for an additional 265 km of range with just a 5-minute charge. The REEV model boasts over 350 km of battery-powered range and a combined range exceeding 1,200 km. Both versions are compatible with 800V 5C ultra-fast charging and feature seamless start-stop technology.
On the intelligent driving front, the HYPTEC HL is equipped with the advanced ADiGO Pilot NDA 4.0 system, powered by NVIDIA's DRIVE AGX Orin chipset. The system employs an end-to-end AI algorithm, enabling comprehensive support for urban and highway NDA (navigation-based driving assistance) functions, along with automated parking and toll gate passage features. Standard features across the lineup are air suspension and CDC (continuous damping control) systems, paired with the latest generation smart digital chassis and a "super magic carpet" suspension setup. This technology allows the vehicle to precisely detect road conditions and adjust suspension settings in real-time, ensuring a stable and comfortable driving experience.
