Beijing (Gasgoo)- On November 13, Great Wall Motor (GWM) and Huawei signed a strategic partnership agreement, pledging to integrate GWM's Coffee OS 3 smart cockpit system with Huawei's HMS for Car platform. As part of this collaboration, Huawei's Petal Maps will be rolled out in overseas markets, including Brazil and Thailand, offering enhanced navigation capabilities for overseas drivers.

Central to this partnership is the in-depth integration of GWM's self-developed Coffee OS 3 with Huawei's HMS for Car, aiming to create a cutting-edge smart cockpit experience tailored for global markets.

Petal Maps brings extensive navigation features, from search and route planning to advanced lane-level guidance, low-battery alerts, and immersive 3D navigation. Designed with new energy vehicle drivers in mind, the platform includes custom features such as "fried egg" icons for battery range calculations and low-power alerts. These features provide real-time traffic signals, charging station availability, and rest stops, enhancing overall usability.

This deployment of Petal Maps in Brazil and Thailand marks the first step in GWM and Huawei's collaboration, aiming to deliver an unprecedented level of navigation and location-based services worldwide.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
