Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Xiaomi EV saw the 100,000th unit of its first mass-produced model, the Xiaomi SU7, roll off the production line on November 13. The achievement comes just 230 days after the model hit the market, according to a post on Xiaomi EV’s Weibo account.
In response to growing market demand, Xiaomi EV stated that it is ramping up production capacity, with a goal to deliver 120,000 vehicles by the end of the year. Its initial target of 100,000 units for 2024 will be reached in November ahead of schedule.
Earlier on the same day, Xiaomi founder and CEO Lei Jun took to Weibo, sharing a candid post: "Netizens have been urging me to get back on the factory floor. The truth is, I visit frequently. I was there early this morning, so early I dozed off a bit in the workshop. When I woke up, the 100,000th car was already done!"
In October this year, Xiaomi EV's monthly deliveries surpassed 20,000 units for the first time. Although detailed figures weren't disclosed, data from the China Passenger Car Association shows that Xiaomi EV delivered 20,726 units of the SU7 last month, a remarkable feat for a company relying on a single model.
