GWM’s FTXT Energy signs MoU with Brazil’s State of Minas Gerais for fuel cell vehicle demonstration project

According to the agreement, FTXT Energy, in collaboration with GWM Brazil, will deliver hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks to State of Minas Gerais.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On November 6, Romeu Zema Neto, Governor of Brazil's State of Minas Gerais, along with a delegation, visited the Shanghai Fuel Cell Vehicle Powertrain Industrial Park of Great Wall Motor ("GWM")'s hydrogen energy subsidiary, FTXT Energy, according to a post on FTXT Energy's WeChat account. The visit focused on exploring cooperation in green hydrogen technology and hydrogen fuel cell truck applications.

During the visit, the State of Minas Gerais' Secretariat for Economic Development ("SEDE"), Invest Minas, and the Federal University of Itajubá ("UNIFEI") signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on hydrogen energy cooperation with GWM Brazil and FTXT Energy, marking a new chapter for FTXT Energy's development in the Brazilian market.

According to the agreement, FTXT Energy, in collaboration with GWM Brazil, will deliver hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks to State of Minas Gerais. Together with SEDE, Invest Minas, and UNIFEI, they plan to establish a demonstration project for fuel cell vehicles in the state. Leveraging their combined expertise, technology, and resources, the partners aim to accelerate the growth of the hydrogen industry and drive green transportation transformation within the state.

During the signing event, Governor Zema and his delegation toured FTXT Energy's Shanghai showroom, viewing the hydrogen-powered vehicles it supplies, and learning about GWM's hydrogen business advancements and FTXT Energy's technology reserves and application models. The discussions covered plans for expanding FTXT's business in the Brazilian market and advancing collaborative projects outlined in the new agreement.
