Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On November 6, GAC Energy Technology Co., Ltd. ("GAC Energy") signed a framework cooperation agreement with Shanghai Kunlun ENN Clean Energy Co., Ltd. ("Kunlun ENN") at the Zero-Carbon Park of GAC AION in Guangzhou, according to a post on GAC Energy's WeChat account.

Under the agreement, GAC Energy and Kunlun ENN will collaborate on several key areas, including electric vehicle (EV) charging and battery swapping infrastructure, equipment procurement, and integrated energy services like photovoltaics, energy storage, power distribution and sales, and demand response. They also plan to connect and interlink their digital energy management platforms, explore industry integration, and leverage financial resources to strengthen their partnership. Kunlun ENN will utilize its extensive clean energy resources and site management expertise in Shanghai and neighboring areas, joining forces with GAC Energy's advanced EV charging and battery swapping technology. Together, the companies aim to develop high-quality stations that integrate photovoltaic, storage, charging, and swapping solutions.

Their first cooperative demonstration stations—HYPTEC Shanghai Guoquan North Road Battery Swapping Station and HYPTEC Shanghai Shangnan Road Charging and Battery Swapping Station—are already operational. This agreement marks the beginning of a broader effort to expand a comprehensive energy network, offering users increasingly efficient and convenient energy services.

Kunlun ENN, a key player in promoting clean vehicle energy in Shanghai, was established through a joint investment by CNPC's Kunlun Energy (51%) and ENN Energy (49%).

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
