Changan Automobile records 4.07% YoY rise in Oct. 2024 auto sales

Chinese automaker Changan Automobile logged monthly sales volume of 250,832 vehicles in October 2024, representing a 4.07% rise year-on-year.

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese automaker Changan Automobile logged monthly sales volume of 250,832 vehicles in October 2024, representing a 4.07% rise year-on-year.

In the first ten months of this year, Changan Automobile sold 2,155,811 vehicles cumulatively, which climbed up 2.14% year over year. Of the vehicles sold in the Jan.-Oct. period, 1,797,364 units were under its wholly-owned brands, with 1,328,832 units being passenger cars.

From January to October this year, Changan Automobile’s wholly-owned brands sold 318,553 vehicles overseas, including 30,831 units exported in October alone, which represents a 33.9% increase year-on-year.

In the first ten months of 2024, Changan Automobile’s wholly-owned brands sold 532,890 new energy vehicles (NEVs) in total. Among which, 85,272 units were sold in October, surging 48.6% year over year.

As to Changan Automobile's joint ventures, Changan Ford sold 19,789 vehicles in the past month, demonstrating a 3.21% year-on-year rise. The other joint venture, Changan Mazda, saw its monthly sales tumble 41.53% from the previous year to 7,521 vehicles.
