Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Geely Automobile Holdings Limited ("Geely Auto Group" or "the Group") recently announced its car sales results for the month of October 2024, boasting the highest-ever figures in both monthly vehicle sales volume and new energy vehicle (NEV) sales.
The Group's total sales volume reached 226,686 vehicles in October 2024, jumping around 28% over the prior-year period.
For the first ten months of the year, Geely Auto Group sold 1,716,376 vehicles, representing a year-on-year leap of 32%.
Among the vehicles the Group sold last month, new energy vehicles (NEVs) accounted for a sales volume of 108,722 units, indicating a remarkable year-on-year spike of 83%. Regarding performance by powertrain solutions, the sales of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) stood at 78,858 units and 29,864 units, growing 132% and 17% from a year earlier, respectively.
As for year-to-date performance, Geely Auto Group has sold 654,576 NEVs (+91% YoY) by October this year, including 408,192 BEVs (+66% YoY) and 246,384 PHEVs (+154% YoY).
The Group also reported an export volume of 32,544 vehicles for the month of October this year, representing a year-on-year increase of 18%. For the Jan.-Oct. period, Geely Auto Group exported a total of 346,582 vehicles, which soared 62% compared to the prior-year period.
Breaking down the October sales by specific brands and product ranges, there were 170,563 Geely-branded vehicles sold last month, showing a 22% year-over-year increase. Of those, 63,492 units came from the brand's new energy vehicle range Galaxy, demonstrating a year-on-year hike of 83%. What's more, ZEEKR and Lynk & Co brands boasted year-on-year increases of 92% and 26% with 25,049 and 31,074 vehicles sold last month, respectively.
