Beijing (Gasgoo)- LightWheel AI, a Beijing-based tech company specializing in autonomous driving and embodied intelligence, recently completed its Pre-A+ funding round, which raised for the company tens of millions of yuan.

The recent financing round was led by the Beijing AI Industry Investment Fund, with continued backing from existing investor Matrix Partners. The funding will support LightWheel AI's R&D enhancements in end-to-end autonomous driving and embodied intelligence technologies, as well as commercial growth and global expansion.

Founded in 2023, LightWheel AI focuses on delivering data-centric, end-to-end solutions, leveraging synthetic data to amplify human demonstrations. Through closed-loop simulation, the company advances self-play reinforcement learning (RL) capabilities, a key component in achieving spatial intelligence for complex applications.

LightWheel AI's core technology stack, built on the "Real2Sim2Real+Realism Validation" framework, provides high-fidelity, interactive synthetic data with 3D mixed rendering and physics-based realism. The company also focuses on pre-training and post-training stages, facilitating imitation learning models and enabling a novel self-play RL training paradigm through closed-loop simulation.

In the autonomous driving field, LightWheel AI formed partnerships with prominent OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers in China and abroad, delivering essential corner-case data services for autonomous driving. LightWheel AI also aids in the global expansion of Chinese brands by supplying comprehensive data solutions, supporting the mass production of end-to-end autonomous algorithms.
