In the third-quarter production report for 2024 released by Glencore, cobalt production for the first three quarters amounted to 26,500 metallic tonnes (including third-party raw material supplies), representing a year-on-year decrease of 18%. The current guidance for cobalt production throughout 2024 is 35,000 to 40,000 metallic tonnes (this guidance only covers production from proprietary raw materials, as KNS entered maintenance in February 2024. The aforementioned cobalt production guidance excludes the 5,000 metallic tonnes produced by KNS in the first quarter of 2024.) This remains consistent with previous guidance.
