Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On November 1, ZEEKR, an electric vehicle maker under Geely Holding, announced impressive delivery numbers for October 2024, with 25,049 vehicles delivered, marking a 92% year-over-year increase and a 17% rise from the previous month.

From January through October this year, the company reached cumulative deliveries of 167,922 units, reflecting an 82% surge over the year-ago period.

Since launching its first model, ZEEKR has delivered a total of 360,000 vehicles.

ZEEKR was founded in April 2021 as a premium smart electric vehicle brand under Geely. On May 10, 2024, it went public on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "ZK," setting a record for the fastest IPO timeline among new energy vehicle companies in China, just 37 months after its founding.

ZEEKR's lineup includes the ZEEKR 001, 009, X, 007, 7X, and the newly launched ZEEKR MIX. Hitting the market on October 23, the ZEEKR MIX offers two variants: the Intelligent Driving Edition and the Long-Range Intelligent Driving Edition, priced at 279,900 yuan and 299,900 yuan, respectively. Built on the SEA-M platform, the MIX is a mid-sized MPV, equipped with ZEEKR's multiple high-tech features, including LiDAR, dual Orin-X chips with 508 TOPS of computing power, and the proprietary ZEEKR Haohan Smart Driving 2.0 system.

With a minimalistic "Hidden Energy" design, the ZEEKR MIX showcases a rounded silhouette and an integrated "smart light curtain" on the front, powered by 75 high-power automotive-grade chips across a striking 90-inch display. The interior focuses on versatility, with front seats capable of a 270-degree rotation, allowing passengers to engage in face-to-face interaction. Additionally, the MIX debuts an innovative seating arrangement, featuring three ultra-long, 2-meter electric sliding rails, providing 800 mm of front-seat travel and 490 mm in the rear.

Powering the MPV is a rear-mounted single electric motor, delivering up to 422 horsepower. According to the information from China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, it is equipped with a 77 kWh battery, offering two range options: 550 km and 556 km. A longer-range version with a 712 km range is also expected. The vehicle boasts an impressive front wheel turning angle of over 50°, allowing for a minimum turning radius of less than 5 meters, enhancing maneuverability in tight spaces.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
