Beijing (Gasgoo)- On October 30, autonomous new energy truck developer DeepWay and battery giant CATL celebrated the delivery of 100 Shenxiang Xingchen battery-swappable heavy-duty trucks to Xinchenghui Logistics Co., Ltd., accompanied by the inauguration of CATL’s Electric Truck Charging and Battery Swapping Center.

The trucks, designed for the Southwest China region's gravel transport, demonstrate an impressive 190-kilometer range with a full 49-tonne load on a single charge, achieving daily transportation distance between 400-500 kilometers. Even on challenging routes, full-load power consumption holds at a low 0.925 kWh per kilometer, with a single battery swap providing a range of over 360 kilometers.

As a key enterprise, DeepWay also joined the launch of CATL's new-energy vehicle industrial park in Dujiangyan, Sichuan Province, alongside the new charging and battery swapping center, which enhances local electric truck operations with efficient energy services. This facility will further develop Dujiangyan’s integrated energy replenishment infrastructure, paving the way for a modern, green energy support system in the region.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
