[China Three Gorges Renewables: Plans to Invest RMB 71.848 Billion in the Construction of a Renewable Energy Base Project in the Taklamakan Desert in Southern Xinjiang] China Three Gorges Renewables has announced its intention to invest in the construction of a renewable energy base project in the Taklamakan Desert in southern Xinjiang. The project will involve the construction of 8.5 GW of photovoltaic power generation capacity, 4 GW of wind power generation capacity, and supporting facilities including 6×0.66 GW of coal-fired power generation and 5 GW/h of new energy storage. The total dynamic investment for the project amounts to RMB 71.848 billion, with the project capital accounting for 25% of the investment, totaling RMB 17.963 billion. Shareholders will contribute funds based on their respective shareholding percentages, with the company contributing RMB 6.107 billion.
