On October 27, the smart #5 all-electric SUV officially hit the Chinese market, with prices ranging from 229,900 yuan to 368,000 yuan.

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On October 27, the smart #5 all-electric SUV officially hit the Chinese market, with prices ranging from 229,900 yuan to 368,000 yuan. Designed by Mercedes-Benz’s global team, the smart #5 features a sleek, capsule-inspired exterior available in eight colors.

As a luxury mid-sized electric SUV, the smart #5 offers a spacious interior with a 2,900mm wheelbase and a versatile five-seat layout. The rear seating area is designed for ultimate comfort on long journeys, featuring multiple configurations that allow passengers to recline, stretch out, or even create a double bed setup for rest. Enhancing the premium experience, the rear seats come equipped with adjustable backrests, seat heating, and an “airline lighting” mode, creating a relaxing ambiance. For immersive in-cabin entertainment, the smart #5 features a Sennheiser sound system, 256-color ambient lighting, and a unique floating disc speaker.

It is also the first SUV to incorporate AMD’s V2000 chip, with computing power nearly double that of the Snapdragon 8295, seamlessly coordinating six interior screens.

Equipped with advanced intelligent driving technology, the smart #5 includes two NVIDIA Orin X chips, delivering up to 508 TOPS of processing power. The vehicle’s LiDAR and 36 high-precision sensors enhance reliability across diverse driving scenarios.

Built on an 800V electric platform, the smart #5 supports 4C ultra-fast charging, delivering a 500-km range in just 15 minutes of charging and a maximum CLTC range of 740 km, significantly easing range anxiety on long trips.
