Beijing (Gasgoo)- On October 28, at its IM AD DAY, IM Motors announced the launch of the IM AD 3.0 smart driving system, which enhances the intelligent driving experience from “human-like” to “intuitive.”

Developed in partner with Momenta, this system incorporates an AI-powered “intuitive” large model, making IM Motors capable of mass-producing L2, L3, and L4 intelligent driving technology.

The new “Intuitive Driving” capability enables smart vehicles to globally analyze road environments and anticipate unseen or incomplete road information, mimicking human instinctual responses. This functionality can handle unexpected situations with quick and calculated decisions—just as an experienced driver would.

In real-world demonstrations, the IM AD 3.0 exhibited advanced capabilities, such as yielding smoothly in blind zones, maneuvering around obstacles like puddles, and navigating complex intersections without a central lane marker. The vehicle can seamlessly adjust to broad and ambiguous lanes, emulating an experienced driver’s intuition.

The IM AD 3.0 system’s core technologies include a single-step, end-to-end large model combined with a “safety logic network.” This approach merges perception and planning into one neural network, trained with vast, high-quality datasets, allowing it to generate human-like responses from data intake to path planning.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
