Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On October 27, XPENG AEROHT, the eVOLT aircraft (flying car) company affiliated to XPENG, officially commenced construction of its flying car manufacturing base in Guangzhou. This facility will focus on producing components for its modular flying car, the "Land Aircraft Carrier," with a planned annual production capacity of 10,000 units.

Situated in the Guangzhou Development District, the first phase of the base will cover approximately 180,000 square meters and will feature four major production workshops—including composite materials, assembly, coating, and final assembly—along with supporting facilities.

The company said this strategic layout aims to blend the aviation industry's high-quality standards with the automotive sector's large-scale production experience, enhancing quality, cost efficiency, and rapid delivery cycles to support the integration of new energy vehicles and the emerging low-altitude economy.

Zhao Deli, founder of XPENG AEROHT, emphasized that the facility will adhere to the principles of "refinement, intelligence, and sustainability," focusing on the in-house production of core components to ensure quality and cost control.

The factory will employ a compact design to minimize waste in logistics and transportation through combined workshops and centralized warehousing, thereby improving production efficiency.

Additionally, the base plans to harness solar power and equip high-energy-consuming facilities with energy-saving devices. A digital energy management system will monitor energy consumption to reduce carbon emissions.

XPENG AEROHT 's "Land Aircraft Carrier" flying body has already completed its first manned test flight and is set for its global public debut on November 12 at the China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition, with pre-sales expected to begin by the end of the year.
