Zhuzhou Smelting Group's Zinc Roasting Plant Achieves Notable Success in Reusing Diluted Sulfuric Acid

Recently, the zinc roasting plant of Zhuzhou Smelting Group has achieved remarkable results in reusing diluted sulfuric acid. Since October, the diluted sulfuric acid produced during off-gas desulfurization at the zinc roasting plant has been introduced into the acid-making, drying, and absorption tank for reuse and improvement, yielding significant results. This not only reduced the acid radical content in the system and increased sulfuric acid production but also reduced the load for achieving emissions standards in off-gas desulfurization and saved the replenishment of production water, thereby creating substantial economic and environmental benefits. Preliminary estimates indicate that this practice can generate annual efficiencies of RMB 900,000.
