Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On October 25, the 2025 Tang DM-i SUV from BYD's Dynasty range officially hit the market with prices ranging from 179,800 to 207,800 yuan. As an refreshed model, the new Tang DM-i maintains its iconic design while upgrading to BYD's fifth-generation DM plug-in hybrid technology, delivering enhanced engine and electric motor power.

The 2025 Tang DM-i introduces a new "Weiyang Grey" color option and a blacked-out sports package to add a premium vibe. It retains BYD’s signature "Dragon Face" design language, featuring a front grille with dragon-scale detailing and full-width black trim. Aerodynamic channels on each side of the front and rear bumpers enhance the sporty aesthetic.

The vehicle measures 4,870mm in length, 1,950mm in width, and 1,725mm in height, with a 2,820mm wheelbase. Its taillights continue to incorporate a distinctive Chinese knot pattern, enhancing its recognizability, while the rear bumper mirrors the aerodynamic design of the front.

Inside, the 2025 Tang DM-i keeps the current model's modern interior, featuring a full digital instrument cluster and a large central touchscreen. The flat-bottom, two-spoke steering wheel adds a contemporary touch, and practical features include physical controls for commonly used functions, wireless smartphone charging, and USB charging ports.

For comfort and handling, the model comes standard with an FSD (frequency selective damping) system across all trim levels, while the top-spec variant is equipped with BYD's advanced DiSus-C intelligent damping control, allowing the vehicle to handle diverse road conditions with enhanced stability.

Under the hood, the 2025 Tang DM-i is powered by BYD's fifth-generation DM hybrid system, which delivers a combined 310 kW of maximum power. The car reaches a top speed of 200 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds. A 21.504 kWh battery pack enables a range of 115 km on battery power alone, with a combined driving range of up to 1,150 km.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
