Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On October 23, 2024, ZEEKR, an electric vehicle maker under Geely Auto, officially put its all-new mid-sized electric MPV, the ZEEKR MIX, onto the market, with deliveries beginning simultaneously. Built on the SEA-M platform, the vehicle is available in two trim levels: the Smart Driving version and the Long-Range Smart Driving version, priced at 279,900 yuan and 299,900 yuan, respectively.

The ZEEKR MIX features a design language called "Flowing Space Aesthetics," combining a boxy profile with smooth, rounded lines to create a simple yet stylish appearance. The closed front grille integrates ZEEKR's Stargate intelligent lighting system, with 1,960 LED beads forming a 95-inch display. Besides illumination, this setup enables interactive light communication, enhancing the futuristic feel.

From the side, the MPV's sleek, flowing lines run from the front to the rear, complemented by a two-tone body design that adds a touch of elegance and warmth. Hidden rain gutters and rear wipers further emphasize its clean, modern aesthetic. The vehicle also features semi-concealed door handles and two-tone, closed-off wheels to reduce drag, making it more aerodynamically efficient.

Measuring 4,688mm in length, 1,995mm in width, and 1,755mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,008mm, the ZEEKR MIX is classified as a mid-size MPV. It seats five across two rows, with a trunk capacity ranging from 568 liters to 2,000 liters. This is a distinctive setup compared to other popular MPVs like the XPENG X9 and DENZA D9, which are larger and offer three rows of seating, positioning the MIX in a unique market niche.

One standout feature is the hidden dual B-pillar design, where the pillars are incorporated into the doors. The front and rear doors open in opposite directions, creating a wide entry space of up to 1.33 meters on the right side. The left side offers a 1.53-meter opening for improved access and visibility. The front doors use a conventional hinge system for ease of entry and exit.

Inside, the MIX offers impressive flexibility. It includes the world's first 270-degree, infinitely rotating electric front seats, paired with 2-meter-long electric sliding rails, allowing for multiple seating configurations. This arrangement enhances versatility, making the MPV suitable for a wide range of usage scenarios. Additional features include an electric sliding center armrest, electric leg rests for rear passengers, and ventilation, heating, and massage functions for maximum comfort.

On the technology front, the ZEEKR MIX is equipped with a 15.05-inch 2.5K central touchscreen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip. It supports advanced features such as Amap (Gaode Map), four-zone voice recognition, facial and voiceprint recognition, gesture control, an app store, 5G Wi-Fi, and over-the-air (OTA) updates. For intelligent driving, the model comes standard with LiDAR, dual NVIDIA Orin-X chips, and the Haohan Intelligent Driving 2.0 system, with the HD map-free City NZP (Navigation ZEEKR Pilot) feature scheduled for rollout by the end of October, promising a safer and more convenient driving experience.

The ZEEKR MIX runs on an 800V high-voltage platform, powered by a 310kW silicon carbide electric motor. Two battery options are available: a 76kWh pack offering a range of 550km and a 102kWh pack with a 702km range, based on the CLTC cycle. Notably, the vehicle supports V3 liquid-cooled fast charging, allowing it to gain 500km of range in just 15 minutes.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
