Aluminum Cable Exports Plunge in September 2024, Reflecting Steep Month-on-Month and Year-on-Year Declines

According to customs data, aluminum cable exports totaled 9,372 tons in September 2024, continuing a downward trend with a month-on-month decrease of 29% from August and a year-on-year decline of 39.77%. The total export value of aluminum cables in August amounted to US$28.06 million, down 25.48% from the previous month. Specifically, the export volume of aluminum conductor steel-reinforced (ACSR) and similar articles was 4,650 tons, a decrease of 43.79% from the previous month, while the export volume of stranded aluminum wires and similar articles reached 4,721 tons, down 4.36% month-on-month.
