The China Photovoltaic Industry Association recently released an analysis report, pointing out the current cost of photovoltaic modules and arguing that 0.68 yuan per watt is already the lowest cost that excellent enterprises can achieve while ensuring product quality. Meanwhile, the association expressed concern over the previously occurred underbidding that was below cost, as well as the potential quality issues and performance difficulties that may follow. In order to strengthen industry self-discipline, the association is considering measures such as issuing industry-wide notices and reporting to market regulatory authorities to promote the healthy development of the industry. Additionally, the association will regularly conduct research and calculations on industry costs, and disclose relevant data to the public and government regulatory authorities for reference.
