Following planned upgrades to the production line, Li Auto aims to boost output to 30,000 Li L6 vehicles per month by next year.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Meng Qingpeng, Li Auto's Vice President of Supply Chain, recently revealed that the production potential of the Li L6 model has yet to be fully unleashed. Currently, the maximum production capacity at the company's factory and supplier facilities stands at 26,000 units per month. However, following planned upgrades to the production line, Li Auto aims to boost output to 30,000 Li L6 vehicles per month by next year.

The Li L6, a five-seat premium SUV designed for family users, officially hit the market in April this year. It is the smallest and most affordable model in the Li Auto's L lineup, available in two variants, the Pro and Max, both featuring all-wheel drive system. Its prices range from 249,800 yuan to 279,800 yuan.

Since its market launch, the Li L6 has performed pretty well, quickly becoming one of Li Auto’s hotter-selling models. For four consecutive months, the Li L6 has achieved monthly delivery figures exceeding 20,000 units. By September 19, five months after its market release, the Li L6 had surpassed 100,000 units of cumulative deliveries.

Notably, on October 14, Li Auto celebrated a major achievement with the production of its one-millionth vehicle, a 2024 Li L9 vehicle, at its Changzhou Intelligent Manufacturing Base in Jiangsu province. It took Li Auto only 58 months to hit the production milestone.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
