Beijing (Gasgoo)- On October 15, DEEPAL, the new energy vehicle (NEV) brand under Changan Automobile, made its debut in Australia with the unveiling of four vehicle models, the DEEPAL L07, S07, G318, and S05.

Previously on September 11, DEEPAL formed partnership with Australian dealer INCHCAPE, aiming at establishing a customer contact center, parts distribution, and after-sales technical training to provide Australian consumers with an enhanced and seamless mobility experience.

Since its global expansion began in November 2023, DEEPAL has rapidly extended its reach from Southeast Asia and Nepal to Latin America and the Middle East. Notably, on September 2, DEEPAL entered into a strategic partnership with AL TAYER MOTORS, a UAE-based automotive dealer group, to introduce its product lineup to the UAE market.

DEEPAL has successfully expanded into key markets, including Thailand, Nepal, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia. In July, the DEEPAL S07 was launched for pre-sale in Mexico, offering both all-electric and range-extended versions with ranges of 620 kilometers and 1,200 kilometers, respectively. The brand also introduced right-hand drive models of the S07 and L07 in Thailand last year, marking another significant step in its global growth strategy.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
