Beijing (Gasgoo)- On October 14, Chinese new energy vehicle maker Leapmotor debuted its B-platform’s first model, the Leapmotor B10, at the Paris Motor Show 2024. The B10, a compact SUV built on the LEAP 3.5 architecture, is expected to hit the global market next year, with prices ranging from 100,000 yuan to 150,000 yuan.

Designed for a global audience of young users, Leapmotor’s new B product series embodies four key features: intelligence, style, fun, and quality. As part of Leapmotor’s globalization strategy, the B10 offers top-tier intelligent hardware and software, delivering advanced cockpit and intelligent driving experiences. Its original family design aligns with a global, fashionable aesthetic.

On the intelligence front, the Leapmotor B10 features a LiDAR system paired with Qualcomm’s 8650 chip, enabling highway and urban navigation pilot assistance functions. The B10’s smart cockpit, equipped with the Qualcomm 8295 chip, offers a seamless user experience, while its cloud-based large model-powered voice assistant enhances convenience with advanced AI integration.

For driving dynamics, Leapmotor partnered with Maserati's team from Stellantis to fine-tune the B10’s chassis, ensuring a balance between comfort and control. The cockpit offers personalized space configurations, allowing owners to customize it according to their preferences.

The Leapmotor B10 is the first global model in the B series, with two additional models planned for global release next year.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
