ZEEKR expands into Brazilian market with launch of ZEEKR 001 model

On October 12, ZEEKR, the premium electric vehicle maker under Geely Holding, announced the official launch of its ZEEKR 001 model into the Brazilian market.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On October 12, ZEEKR, the premium electric vehicle maker under Geely Holding, announced the official launch of its ZEEKR 001 model into the Brazilian market, with a starting price of 428,000 Brazilian reals (approximately 542,200 RMB).

Brazil, the largest economy in South America, is experiencing rapid growth in its new energy vehicle (NEV) sector. ZEEKR's first store in Brazil will open in São Paulo by December this year, with additional locations in other major cities following soon.

This expansion into Brazil is part of ZEEKR's broader global strategy, as the company also entered Norway and Colombia in October. In Norway, the ZEEKR 001 and ZEEKR X models became available for pre-order this month, with first deliveries expected by the end of 2024. The ZEEKR 001 starts at 579,900 NOK (about 387,000 RMB), while the ZEEKR X starts at 424,900 NOK (about 283,000 RMB).

In Colombia, ZEEKR plans to launch both the ZEEKR 001 and X models while also investing in charging infrastructure and technological development to ensure a premium user experience.

Throughout 2024, ZEEKR has rapidly accelerated its global expansion. The brand has already entered key markets including Mexico, Costa Rica, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Thailand. By the end of September, ZEEKR had a presence in over 35 major international markets spanning Europe, Asia, Oceania, and Latin America.

Looking ahead, ZEEKR has said it aimed to expand further into Cambodia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Indonesia, and Vietnam by the end of 2024. The company projects that by year's end, it will be present in more than 50 overseas markets across Asia, Oceania, and Latin America.
