Beijing (Gasgoo)- AITO, the premium new energy vehicle brand co-developed by Huawei and SERES, inaugurated with China Automotive Technology & Research Center (CATARC) the "AITO New Luxury Automotive Technology Co-Creation Lab" (name translated from Chinese) in a ceremony held in Tianjin on October 11.

This joint laboratory will focus on high-end smart electric vehicles, aiming to develop new luxury automotive technologies that offer intelligent and safe travel experiences.

AITO has consistently prioritized safety while advancing its "traditional luxury + technological luxury" product design philosophy. Its flagship model, the AITO M9 luxury SUV model boasts a cumulative delivery volume of over 100,000 units within just nine months of its market launch.

Since the beginning of AITO and CATARC’s strategic partnership, the two parties have deepened cooperation across various sectors, including automotive industry’s policy research, engineering services, digital business, information services, and public services. Notable projects include evaluations of the AITO M9 and initiatives to enhance its brand strength.

The establishment of the AITO New Luxury Automotive Technology Co-Creation Lab is expected to further reshape the domestic new energy luxury vehicle sector, addressing key technological challenges and promoting sustainable development. AITO plans to continue working with industry partners to push the boundaries of luxury electric vehicles.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
