Beijing (Gasgoo)- On October 14, autonomous driving company Pony.ai and mobility tech firm AutoNavi announced a partnership to integrate Pony.ai’s autonomous vehicles (Robotaxis) into AutoNavi’s comprehensive mobility service platform.

Users in Guangzhou city can now experience driverless Robotaxi rides through the AutoNavi app and mini-programs, with plans to expand to more cities and regions in the future.

Since launching China’s first autonomous ride-hailing service in 2018, Pony.ai has gained extensive experience in developing full-stack Robotaxi solutions aimed at large-scale operations. The company’s robust infrastructure includes platforms for remote assistance, vehicle management, and technology iteration. AutoNavi, with over 20 years of expertise in the mobility sector, pioneered the aggregation model in 2017, providing efficient, high-quality ride-matching services for mobility providers and passengers.

The collaboration between Pony.ai and AutoNavi leverages the strengths of both companies to meet growing consumer demand for cutting-edge autonomous driving experiences. To ensure smooth integration, AutoNavi’s ride-share platform first connected with Pony.ai’s Robtoaxi fleet operating in Guangzhou Nansha’s autonomous vehicle pilot zone. The latest AutoNavi app now allows users to access this service, enabling seamless, on-demand rides with a single tap when their travel needs align with available autonomous services.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
