Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On October 11, 2024, Lynk & Co unveiled its Lynk & Co Z20 model, also known as the Lynk & Co 02 in Europe, at a launch event in Milan, Italy, and announced that the model has officially hit the European market at the same time.

The Lynk & Co Z20, priced from €35,495 (approximately 270,000 yuan) in Europe, marks the brand's second pure electric vehicle and its first all-electric SUV.

The Lynk & Co Z20 is set to go on sale in China later this year, with domestic pricing expected between 170,000 yuan to 200,000 yuan. Built on the SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) platform, the Lynk & Co Z20 is positioned as a compact full electric SUV, catering to consumers looking for a balance of technology, style, and practicality.

In terms of design, the new model carries Lynk & Co's signature "The Next Day" styling. The front features distinctive "h-shaped" LED daytime running lights and a sleek, closed-off grille, with sharp lines that enhance the vehicle's sporty look. The lower bumper includes a wide air intake design with fang-shaped headlights on either side, adding a youthful and energetic appeal.

As for the side profile, the Lynk & Co Z20 boasts a hidden A-pillar design, pop-out door handles, and frameless doors, which contribute to its impressive aerodynamic drag coefficient of 0.25 Cd.

The vehicle measures 4,460 mm in length, 1,845 mm in width, and 1,573 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,755 mm.

At the rear, a distinctive full-width taillight design with four vertical light strips in the center enhances the vehicle's modern, recognizable look.

The European-spec version of the Lynk & Co Z20 comes equipped with a 66 kWh ternary lithium battery and a 200 kW rear-drive electric motor. The Chinese version, however, will feature a 61.47 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, offering a range of 530 km. Additionally, the rear-drive motor has been upgraded to deliver 250 kW of power and 373 Nm of peak torque. The vehicle also supports 4.5C fast charging technology, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% of its battery capacity in just 15 minutes, adding over 370 km of range.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
