According to the SMM survey, as of Thursday (October 10), SMM zinc ingot inventory in seven major regions was 113,100 mt, an increase of 13,900 mt compared to September 30, and an increase of 6,200 mt compared to October 8. Shanghai's inventory increased mainly due to a large arrival of imported zinc ingots during the week, combined with limited downstream procurement due to high prices. Guangdong's inventory decreased slightly as there were few arrivals at Guangdong warehouses during the week, and downstream enterprises replenished raw materials after the holiday. Tianjin's inventory increased slightly as there was no improvement in arrivals at Tianjin warehouses during the week, and high zinc prices affected downstream buying sentiment. Overall, inventory in these three regions increased by 5,900 mt, and that in seven regions increased by 6,200 mt.
