Beijing (Gasgoo)- On September 28, Changan Mazda officially commenced the pre-sale of the MAZDA EZ-6 new energy sedan. This vehicle embodies a culmination of the strengths of both Changan and Mazda, marking a new flagship standard for joint-venture B-segment new energy sedans. Changan Mazda aims for the EZ-6 to continue the MAZDA6’s success and reputation in China, becoming a star product in the B-segment sedan market.

The launch of the EZ-6 signifies a new developmental phase for joint-venture new energy vehicles in China. This new phase aims to enhance the competitiveness of Changan Mazda in the rapidly evolving market, enabling it to compete effectively with Chinese domestic new energy brands.

Key objectives include deepening integration of Mazda's core values, investing 10 billion yuan in new energy vehicle-related initiatives, and launching at least one new energy vehicle model annually starting in 2024. The goal is to have new energy vehicles account for 90% of Changan Mazda’s sales by 2027, with an annual production and sales target of 300,000 units.
