Beijing (Gasgoo)- On September 27, Dongfeng Motor’s premium new energy vehicle brand VOYAH inaugurated its first smart supercharging station, integrating multiple advanced technologies.

This facility features megawatt-level charging capabilities, including megawatt ultra-fast, automatic, mobile, and wireless charging, as well as a microgrid system for solar energy storage and management.

The VOYAH VP1000 charging pile boasts impressive specifications, which can charge the vehicle with 1.7 kilometers of range in just seconds, with a peak charging power of 1,000 kW, a peak current of 1,000 A, and a maximum voltage of 1,000 V. The charging gun initiates in just 20 seconds after plugged-in.

Additionally, the charging pile includes an ultra-lightweight liquid-cooled gun cable that weighs less than half of conventional fast-charging cables, allowing for single-handed operation. With noise levels not exceeding 55 dB, it supports a wide voltage range of 200-1,000 V.

Leveraging the VOYAH smart energy cloud platform, the station can monitor electric vehicles around the clock and employs a "three-level safety warning" mechanism to mitigate risks during charging. The system also analyzes battery health and offers personalized maintenance advice.

The smart charging station's automatic and mobile charging functions enable seamless vehicle-to-charger connectivity, while wireless charging technology frees users from traditional wired constraints. The incorporation of a microgrid system promotes efficient energy use and sustainability in the charging process.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
