Beijing (Gasgoo)- On September 27, Changan Automobile’s new energy vehicle brand DEEPAL unveiled its refreshed 2025 SL03, offering four models ranging from 119,900 yuan to 146,900 yuan. The new lineup includes both range-extended (REEV) and pure electric (BEV) versions, catering to diverse customer preferences.

The 2025 SL03 retains the design of its predecessor, introducing a new “Starry Black” color option and a contrasting interior theme. The vehicle is equipped with a 10.2-inch digital instrument panel, a 14.6-inch floating central control screen, and a two-spoke multifunction steering wheel. Additionally, the model features sporty seats with standard electric adjustment for both driver and passenger, as well as ventilated and heated front seats. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, the SL03 supports Huawei HiCar and Apple CarPlay, enhancing both its sporty and tech-forward appeal.

The new SL03 BEV comes with a rear-mounted single motor and offers a CLTC range of 530 km. It also supports 3C ultra-fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 30% to 80% of its capacity in under 15 minutes, with 10 minutes of charging providing 100 km of range. The 2025 SL03 REEV offers up to 220 km of battery-powered range, with a combined range of 1,200 km.

Additionally, on September 20, DEEPAL launched the L07, its second sedan featuring DEEPAL’s Super Range-Extending technology and Huawei’s Qiankun ADS SE intelligent driving system.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
